HootSuite Launches Conversations, The Internal Communication Tool

Simplify, Internalize, Collaborate, Promote

HootSuite Conversations is a new internal collaboration tool in free beta that allows you to have real-time, internal conversations with everyone in your organization, or with individual teams, without leaving the HootSuite dashboard.

  • Simplify Communication: Converse with anyone you work with, collaborate with, and share messaging with, easily and intuitively within the HootSuite dashboard.
  • Internal Conversations – External Engagement: Send social messages to internal conversations for teams to discuss and redistribute across multiple social networks.
  • Collaborate with Everyone: Easily add anyone to discuss social messages and receive approved messaging. Communicate with your team, department or entire organization, without leaving the HootSuite dashboard.

Simplify Communication: With HootSuite Conversations you can converse with anyone you work with, collaborate with, and share messaging with, easily and intuitively within the HootSuite dashboard. This brings everyone together, and gets the social conversation out of your inbox, eliminating time-consuming email threads. Note: Basic Users can enjoy collaborating in conversations with anyone as part of their HootSuite Plans.  They can also enhance their capabilities by upgrading to HootSuite Pro, which allows them to join specific Team conversations.

HootSuite Conversations simplifies communication

Internalize Discussions: Send social messages to internal conversations for teams to discuss and share. Teams can then discuss response strategies, communicate approved messaging and encourage others to broadcast across their own social networks by commenting, re-tweeting, or posting to other social networks.

HootSuite external engagement

Collaborate with Everyone: Add anyone to your conversation for free to discuss social messages and receive approved messaging. Communicate with your team, department or entire organization, without leaving the HootSuite dashboard. Adding collaborators is easy because the tool allows you to import contacts from Gmail or Yahoo! address books, and recognizes your colleagues online.

HootSuite Conversations allows you to collaborate

Taking the Power of Teams to the Next Level

Since Conversations is built into HootSuite’s Teams functionality, you can:

  • Assign messages for follow up.
  • Save draft messages privately or for the team.
  • Share search streams for consistent management.
  • Add multiple social networks to a team.
  • Connect team members to multiple teams.
  • Report on team activity and outcomes.
  • And more!

NO "X"  to get out of Beta.  Otherwise Hootsuite is the best!

You guys do not rock! I cannot get rid of the beta notice about Conversations from my four column view. It is sitting over the fourth column and I cannot switch it off. I do not want to enable this.

This is so exciting! I am particualrly excited about being able to invite people who aren't on my list of Hootsuite pro users. However I've literally just jumped to try it and I got a message about it being unable to connect conversations. :(

This feels strange to mix totally private internal communications with a tool for public tweets - I'd be worried about the clarity of separation and the possibility of a major accidental PR fail.

This looks really interesting. In a country that seems to have immortalized yahoo messenger, Hootsuite Conversations presents a truly viable means collaboration, proactive communication, team-building. Will try this out with my team now.

Hi Warren,

With the way the UI is set up for Conversations, it's very clear whether a Tweet is being shared within a conversations versus in your compose box. Give it a try and let us know what you think. Thanks for checking out the news.
