#HootTip: Choose a Theme in #HootSuite
There are so many ways to use HootSuite on the social web that even advanced Owls may need a reminder from time to time.
To help get you acquainted with the various tools, or just for a refresher, here’s a new #HootTip about another HootSuite feature.
Change Your Theme
Owls come in many colors and the HootSuite dashboard is no different. Want to switch up the look of your dashboard? Choose from 3 themes that match your preference or mood.
Here’s the menu:
- Blue Steel – Looking sharp & stylish in blue and gray
- Classic – The tried, true and timeless look
- Magnum – A dark (and sauve) theme for night owls
Here’s How…
- Choose Settings from the Launch Bar and click on Themes
- Select a Theme and voila! – the dashboard will automatically update with your chosen scheme
- Sit back and enjoy ~ Repeat as desired

I’m surprised this tip page doesn’t show a sample of the three themes. I’d be more interested in changing my theme if I FIRST knew what they looked like

To experience themes fully, you should go ahead and try them out. No screenshots can compare to the amazing feelings you get when using the actual tool in black, green or blue. And if the alternative themes don’t satisfy you, you can always switch back. Thank you.
With reference to your instructions for theme change, can you clarify this is just or I phone as I havetried many times to change theme on iPad and how your instructions are not viable on iPad? The settings tab is totally different lay out as per your comments with no sub tab for themes. I m assuming this if or iPhone only your instructions

Themes are only available for HootSuite Web at http://hootsuite.com
I’d love to be able to design some themes for Hootsuite for me and my clients to use. Will you be opening up the process so we can add our own at some point?
We haven’t planned this yet but your feedback will help us consider that idea. What do you have in mind? An “El Tigre” theme perhaps?
+1 for the suggestion of Karen, I always preffer to see previews before, but maybe Dave is right and we can just try a different one.
I think we don´t need the preview at all, we need to view the theme installed in order to see it full potential.
