The HootSuite App Directory continues to grow with the addition of 5 new tools available immediately to all HootSuite’s Free, Pro and Enterprise users (nearly 4 million strong)! We’d like to offer a gracious welcome to MailChimp, Chime.in, Identi.ca, Vision Critical Surveys, and a new RSS Reader to the social content platform.

Since its initial release in November 2011, the HootSuite App Directory has steadily grown with a plethora of new tools, extensions and applications which already include Digg, TrendSpottr, InboxQ, Constant Contact, Get Satisfaction, YouTube, Tumblr, Flickr and Orkut.

After many requests, HootSuite announces Orkut for the HootSuite App Directory. The new app is available to all HootSuite users for free immediately! This announcement follows up on our recent Portuguese localization in March and offers a convenient way for Orkut users to manage their network alongside HootSuite’s other social networks including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and more.

Brasilians make up the majority of all Orkut users so, we’re happy to provide continued support for our Portuguese speaking community. The integration joins the HootSuite App Directory’s growing collection of extension and applications that already include YouTube, Tumblr and TrendSpottr.

Orkut is the latest treat in our goodie bag for Brasil. In addition to completing the Portuguese dashboard localization, HootSuite has created two new Owlys (Brasilian Football Owly and Carnival Owly), designed new Brasilian wallpapers for desktop and mobile, added some Portuguese resources to our library (including a new social media best practices info sheet) and helped host a HootUp in São Paulo.

Enhanced support for Tumblr and TrendSpottr, both of which can be found in the ever-expanding HootSuite App Directory, will further increase the functionality capabilities for those who use Tumblr’s micro-blogging platform and TrendSpottr’s content discovery and publishing tools.

Bom Dia Brasil! HootSuite Releases in Portuguese

This spring, the Owls are flying south as HootSuite releases Portuguese web and mobile versions of the leading social media dashboard plus an Orkut integration. To celebrate this, we’ve written this post in both English and Portuguese.

Owly has graduated from a course in Portuguese, bought the perfect carnival outfit and watched countless hours of soccer to prepare for launching in Brasil.  So, we are pleased to announce the HootSuite Dashboard in Brasilian Portuguese.

Along with the new Portuguese web dashboard, we also updated and released fully-translated versions of HootSuite for iPhone / iPad, Android and BlackBerry.
