Bluesky

Bluesky is a microblogging social platform funded by Twitter founder Jack Dorsey.

Bluesky’s functionality is very similar to early versions of Twitter. Users have up to 300 characters per post and can share still images. Right now, you can’t post gifs or videos, and there are no DMs.

Like Twitter and TikTok, Bluesky has Following and For You feeds (Bluesky calls their FYP “What’s Hot”).

Like Mastodon, Bluesky plans to be a decentralized system, which means people should eventually be able to build apps and communities within it.

Bluesky is still under development, so it is currently invitation-only.
