Cost per lead (CPL)
Cost per lead (or CPL) is a metric that marketers use to measure how cost-effective campaigns are at generating new leads. CPL helps marketers understand how much of their budget is spent on acquiring new leads for the business and gives them a ROI figure.
CPL is calculated by taking the dollar amount spent on acquiring new leads and dividing it by the number of leads acquired in the same timeframe.
