Friction

Friction refers to a point in the customer journey where the customer or potential customer gets stuck before completing a purchase. Examples of friction can include a difficult newsletter sign-up process or a clumsy in-product experience.

Marketers and product teams work to uncover and rectify moments of friction throughout the customer journey to ensure a smooth experience for the user.
