Search engine results page (SERP)

A search engine results page (or SERP) is the page that a search engine returns after a user submits a search query. When someone mentions a SERP, they’re usually referring to Google’s search result pages, which can include paid ads as well as organic results.

Search engine optimization, or SEO, refers to increasing the organic visibility of a web page in search results. But any platform that offers a search function, including social media platforms, delivers results on a SERP, and you can use social SEO to improve the visibility of your social posts.
