Meta continues to surge ahead with their strategy to promote Reels by exploring ways to make video creation easier on users.
Now, users can create Reels from their existing videos on Facebook when using Creator Studio, according to social media sleuth and consultant Matt Navarra.
Users can now create clips from their videos to share as a Reel or a story, he shared. Creators can either choose their favorite clips or have the platform recommend clips. These Reels can then be posted immediately or shared for later.
Meta has been focused on making Instagram an entertaining alternative to short-form-video giant TikTok, and appears to be bringing Facebook along for the ride.
Considering that last year, searches for Instagram Reels surpassed that of Instagram Stories, it makes sense that Reels are now part of Facebook’s strategy.
Earlier this month, Instagram launched new Reels features such as more sound effects, the ability to import sound, interactive stickers, longer Reels, and templates.
