Meta has announced that users in the U.S., Canada and Mexico can now feature 3D visual avatars of themselves in Instagram Stories and DMs, in addition to Facebook and Messenger.
To better represent the diversity of Meta users, the company added new facial shapes and expressions, skin shades, and assisted devices to the long list of customizable options.
They’ve also introduced new NFL outfits in anticipation of the upcoming Super Bowl.
Meta said avatars will be available to Facebook, Instagram and Messenger users worldwide over the next few months.
