Last year, Instagram launched Remix on Reels, a feature similar to TikTok Duets in that users could record a Reels video next to a video from another creator.
The platform has now expanded the feature beyond Reels to let users respond to any new public video on the app.
Videos shared prior to the launch will not be affected.

Starting today, we are rolling out a feature where you can Remix any new public video that you see on Instagram. 🙌

Instagram initially introduced the feature so users could hop on trends, show their reactions or just engage with others more directly on the app.
