Many advertisers have turned to TikTok to promote products, leveraging influencer marketing and hashtags like #TikTokMadeMeBuyIt to make products go viral.
TikTok’s own studies show that 58% of TikTok users use the platform to learn more about new products or brands and 48% have discovered a product or service on the platform and quickly bought it once in the past year.
To further enhance the platform’s online shopping capabilities, TikTok has announced it will be launching a new WooCommerce integration. WooCommerce is an open-source ecommerce plugin typically used for WordPress websites.
With the new integration, brands will be able to sync their store catalogs, install TikTok pixel for campaign performance tracking and develop ads to streamline promoting specific products.
Advertisers will need to create a WooCommerce product catalog before connecting it to TikTok. From the WooCommerce dashboard, brands can use the Smart Video Generator tool to create in-feed ads, lead gen ads, spark ads and more.
