Ryan Holmes Speaks on CBC’s ‘The Lang and O’Leary Exchange’

By Sam Milbrath • 1 year ago • 0 Comments

HootSuite CEO Ryan Holmes spoke Monday on CBC business news series The Lang and O’Leary Exchange with CBC’s senior business correspondent, Amanda Lang and investor entrepreneur, Kevin O’Leary. Holmes spoke on the decentralization of tech startup companies based in Silicon Valley, suggesting that perhaps Canada may be the next tech capital.

Watch the interview for a further look into Canada’s potential as the next tech hotspot.

Holmes says that only recently are investors looking further abroad to Canadian markets and investing in startups at an earlier stage. And to avoid being inevitably sold to foreign investors once mature, Holmes encourages these successful anchor tenants to reinvest in feature companies. Perhaps HootSuite will help pave the way for other Canadian startups to receive Canadian venture capital at an earlier, crucial stage.
