Ryan Holmes

Ryan Holmes co-founded Hootsuite in 2008 and stepped back into the role of Chief Executive Officer in 2026, returning to the company he spent over a decade building.

A serial entrepreneur and software developer by background, Ryan brings a builder's instinct and deep AI expertise to a defining moment for the industry — as AI reshapes how marketing leaders understand customers and act on social data. He’s focused on accelerating Hootsuite’s AI agenda: pushing the product, expanding what the company can do with data and insights, and helping customers move faster and work smarter.

While away from Hootsuite, Ryan focused on building and investing in emerging technology companies through his seed fund LOI Venture, as well as supporting young entrepreneurs through his youth accelerator, League of Innovators. Throughout, Ryan remained an active Hootsuite board member.
