This week, Instagram launched a new searchable map feature to help users explore popular local businesses and filter them by categories.
To view the map, you can either tap location tags that you see in feed posts or Stories, or search a city or hashtag in Explore.

Facebook has confirmed that it’s testing a new feature that lets users have up to five different profiles from the same account. Users would be able to switch profiles from one login.

Adam Mosseri, Head of Instagram, posted today that subscribers will now be able to access exclusive chats, Reels, posts and a home page.

It appears that Instagram is looking to make Reels the sole video format on its platform.
As of June 30, Instagram has been testing this idea by turning all videos into Reels for select users.
Creators chosen for this testing phase received notifications on their accounts that video posts would now be shared as Reels.
Users that share videos-turned-Reels on the platform will have that content be discoverable in the Reels tab, and audio in those videos can be picked up by other users for their own Reels. Read More

Twitter announced today that they’re launching Notes, a new feature that allows select users to publish longer content on the platform.
Right now, the feature is in the testing phase. As part of the test, a handful of writers have started sharing lengthier posts with their audiences.
Note titles can go up to 100 words while the body of a Note is limited to 2,500 words – a stark difference from the current 280-character posting limit. Unlike regular posts, users are also able to make edits after it’s been published. Read More
Meta is introducing even more ways for creators to earn money on Facebook and Instagram, Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook, announced in a recent post.
