International News Wire ~ HootSuite from Italy to Indonesia + Japan

While gathering HootSuite-related news recently, we noticed all the international articles and sources. We are eager to be good global citizens so here’s a few posts from HootSuite users from many corners of the globe.

Note: Consider utilizing Google Translate to get a flavor of what these bloggers have to say if you are curious. Another translation tip is detailed in Translate Twitter and more in HootSuite at (HootSuite dev by day) David Chan’s personal blog.

If you have an article to which we missed, please add a comment or send a note @hootwatch and perhaps we’ll add in an upcoming New Round-Up post.

Great, I have just returned from Rome / Italy where a good friend told me about this initiative to support many languages. This is definitely something the more companies should do. As I can see the success of the blog also shows the support of the international community.

While Google Translate does a not too bad of giving you the gist of the non-English it does not work so good with Asian languages. But it does a fair job with the European langugages.

Lastly, the link to David Chan's blog is not working for me (timeouts), fyi.

Dave - thanks so much for sharing my article in my personal blog about the review of the Hootsuite update. I am about to lead a workshop today for the PR Institute of Ireland about business blogging so your example of showcasing stories about your brand on your blog is one of the case studies I will cover. This workshop is part of their certificate in social media communications which I lead.

In our last workshop we covered Twitter and Facebook so of course Hootsuite featured as a favourite and recommended tool!

If you are ever open to doing a podcast or even better a webinar like wer have been doing this week - http://www.krishnade.com/blog/2010/facebook-for-business-training-21-may-2010 - I'd love to connect.

Thanks once again.
